Am I the Only One Who Hates this DD Commercial?
Swimming.
Soccer.
Ballet.
Oboe.
KaratAAAAAAAAAY!
(Better or worse than Not too close, what, you think I got that insurance? I expect votes!)
Red Sox left bases loaded 3 times tonight. Sweet game. And it's only the 6th inning! Imagine how many more runners we can strand! Oh boy!

YES I HATE THAT COMMERCIAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I always say to Mrs. Joey how much I hate it when it comes on and I usually change the channel. And yes the Karataaaay thing really ices it. Thank you WCSG for acknowledging that waste of an advertising budget!
Don't worry. I have a feeling the Yanks will make a couple of errors before the rain comes and the Sox will sneak past them for a win!
PD
Actually, I USED to hate the commercial, and now, I find it strangely entertaining. I like that all the family members have large teeth - it gives me a comforting 70's feeling. You need to get past your annoyance and focus on the teeth. Nick also agrees - hated it, now likes it (karatayyyyyy!).
Ilene
Joey - It's seriously bad. And right on the heels of the "Doing Things is What I Like to Do!" DD commercial. That was such a gem.
PD - They did just that!
Ilene! I'll check the teeth next time, but my hopes aren't high for a turnaround on this one. I picture all these soccer moms watching the commercial going, "This is soooo my life! I love those kids! I think I want an iced coffee!"
Everything eneded as it did, with smiles. Nice, right??
It was a tough game to watch and I still get mad when I think about all the squandering, but, yes, there were smiles at the end.
I actually liked the AFLAC commercial with Yogi Berra but now I'm sick of it. Playing it at every commercial break has worn me out, so I mute it and recite all the lines myself.
My mom is a big fan of the Yogi commercial, too. I don't know. It rubs me the wrong way somehow. But, I'd take that over any Foxwoods commercial. Thank goodness they buried the leprechaun one. Oy, that was bad.
WCSG - I think perhaps if you're someone 'of a certain age', the Yogi ad has more nostalgic appeal than to most people! I'm done with ALL of the Foxwoods ads, though. After what seems like 20 years, you'd think they'd replace that worn out song. Haven't they noticed yet that the singer can't reach the high notes anymore?
maybe the red sox should try a little KARATE!
Couch Potato - To add to the annoying factor, I read that the Foxwoods singer is a Yankee fan. That puts him up there with ole Ronan Tanyon, if you ask me.
Whoops, Tynan is what I meant. Mixing him up with Sturze. Neither guy I'm fond of.
